Supporting adults and young people (15+) experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, ADHD-related challenges, burnout, and major life transitions.
In-person counselling in Malvern and online across Australia.

Life can feel difficult for many different reasons.
You might be feeling anxious, exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed by everyday responsibilities, or unsure why things feel harder than they should.
Maybe you're navigating a significant change, struggling with motivation or focus, feeling stuck in old patterns, or simply know that something isn't working the way you'd like it to.
Counselling provides a supportive space to slow down, understand what's happening, and find practical ways forward.
I'm Ren, a Masters-qualified counsellor with a background in pharmacy and extensive experience supporting people through complex mental health challenges, including crisis and suicide prevention work.
My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I combine evidence-based counselling approaches with genuine curiosity and compassion, helping you better understand yourself and develop strategies that fit your life.
I support adults and young people (15+) experiencing:
You don't need to have a diagnosis or be in crisis to seek counselling. Sometimes the starting point is simply recognising that life feels harder than it needs to.
ADHD can affect far more than attention.
Many people experience challenges with organisation, procrastination, time management, emotional regulation, overwhelm, motivation, and self-confidence.
I provide ADHD-informed counselling for people with a formal ADHD diagnosis, those exploring whether ADHD may explain their experiences, or anyone who relates to executive functioning challenges.
Together, we focus on understanding your patterns, building practical supports, and reducing the frustration and self-criticism that often comes from trying to function in ways that don't work for you.
Life changes can challenge our sense of identity, confidence, and direction.
I support clients navigating:
Counselling can help you better understand what you're experiencing, reconnect with your strengths, and find a clearer path forward.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working as a pharmacist, supporting people through a wide range of health and mental health experiences.
This background gives me a deeper understanding of how emotional wellbeing, physical health, and medication experiences can intersect.
In counselling sessions, this allows space for informed and supportive conversations about your overall wellbeing, while all medical decisions and medication advice remain with your treating doctor.
For clients who may benefit from a calming animal presence, sessions with Woof, my trained therapy dog, may be available by request.
Woof has experience supporting people in healthcare and counselling environments and can provide a gentle, grounding presence during sessions.
Therapy dog sessions are always optional and discussed beforehand to make sure they feel right for you.
Starting counselling can feel daunting, especially if you're not sure exactly what you need.
You don't need to have all the answers before reaching out.
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, burnout, ADHD-related challenges, a major life change, or simply feel that something isn't quite right, we can start by understanding what's happening and exploring what support might help.
